 Why use a technical solution for stormwater infiltration?

Rain water is a natural phenomena and clean! Rain water in itself does not present a problem . However, when during heavy rain falls the water is discharged into the sewer sytem, this often leads to problems. Sewer and water bodies become hydraulically overloaded. In combined sewers the waste water is diluted and its cleaning made more difficult.

Stormwater infiltration can prevent these risks and difficulties. Targeted seepage makes sure the rain water drains away to the ground water – the rain's natural path, in fact.

GEOdek® for stormwater infiltration

Large natural expanses usually do not need any drain support, rain water seeps down without any technical measures. As more and more natural surface is lost to paved areas like buildings, roads, etc. there is a growing need for technical seepage solutions. This is where 2H GEOdek® comes into play. GEOdek® elements collect the rain water, bearing a free volume of more than 97 %. The slow release of the water prevents overloading the sewer system.
